Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Read Elias Rodriguez’s Leaked Chats (www.kenklippenstein.com)
submitted 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) by RedWizard@hexbear.net to c/news@hexbear.net

“I’m almost surprised you’re not antisemitic Elias,” a chat member once wrote. “It usually goes hand and hand [sic] with the whole Stalin did nothing wrong mantra,” alluding to Rodriguez’s support for old school communism.

“One of the biggest things that stalin [sic] didn’t do wrong was ending the most antisemitic regime ever yet known 2 man,” Rodriguez responded.

stalin-pipe

Still, when it came to race, Rodriquez’s hatred seemed reserved for white people.

“Lol you probably would have to actually genocide white people to make this a normal country,” Rodriguez wrote in one post. “Like even a very targeted and selective rehabilitation program would probably have to lead to the lifetime imprisonments of tens of millions of white people.”

👀 anti-cracker-aktion qin-shi-huangdi-fireball

In all his rage though, Rodriguez had an almost wide-eyed optimism about the global south, which as a self-identified Maoist Third Worldist, he believed alone had “revolutionary potential.”

He's a hexbear we're cooked, FBI coming for the site

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 52 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Really didn't like PSL so I doubt he was on here. I mean, maybe he was and he just didn't talk about China or he'd get bullied.

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Anyone know what happened between him and them yet? Sounds like he flirted with them then something happened.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 45 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He's a Maoist Third Worldist so I suspect it's just an ideological thing, PSL is pro-China so MTW types have that hangup.

I'd make a joke about UlyssesT but there's nothing about Star Citizen in these chat logs.

[–] ChestRockwell@hexbear.net 45 points 1 week ago

Feel like UlyssesT also was probably closer to 40 than this dude, but just need some tech-bro hatred and yeah I could see it.

[–] Mindfury@hexbear.net 30 points 1 week ago

searching the chat logs for "oppenheimer booba waifu"

a self-identified Maoist Third Worldist

The signs were there. He's fluent in Maoist Standard English.

[–] dead@hexbear.net 53 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

I looked through his tweets some more. He had a bluesky account which is now banned.

^^^ Reference to Maoist Standard English. Replying to teaching chatgpt to speak Maoist Standard English.

A pile of rubbish will be heaped on him which the winds of history will sweep away without mercy.

Pro-stalin-pipe And Anti-cracker?

Let him go, ~~he is based~~

Honestly he does suck (ableism)

spoiler

For example, Rodriguez attacked another member of the chat who he saw as privileged, for lamenting about the challenges of having a brother with schizophrenica. Rodriguez said in posts:

  • “Why not just have him committed? You can’t possibly be gaining anything from a relationship with a person like that.”

  • “Just put him in a padded room and forget about him. If there was a person you loved, he’s gone now. Let it go.”

  • “I’m just tired of hearing about this guy … He’s useless, we get it. Stop complaining and just dispose of him.”

[–] tocopherol@hexbear.net 56 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Yeah you'd get banned for saying that shit here, I hope.

[–] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 64 points 1 week ago (2 children)

someone would rightly get banned here for saying a lot less than any of those statements alone.

[–] Stolen_Stolen_Valor@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Say that shit to my face or any of my comrades and I’m throwing hands. Not in some bullshit machismo tough guy way either. More like a I’m seeing red and am now trying to kill you type shit.

Fuck all the way off with that. You don’t get to cosplay as a comrade and then say some fascist bullshit.

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 22 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (8 children)

Really depends on how fucked up the shit the schizophrenic person gets up to was tbh. Some are extremely problematic and very difficult to handle, like a danger to everyone around them, keep knives in locked drawers and expect daily instances of real and damaging violence, if they get sharp objects expect real and serious injuries, always have emergency first aid on standby... That kind of serious.

I can very much see how someone can come to the "this isn't something you should be handling at home" position at the extremes of this condition. I can also see how some people could be so committed to NOT using a dedicated mental health home too though and having it destroy them and everyone around them.

It could be a very difficult one we don't understand fully without greater context.

It is possible that all his talk of third-worldism and all that is just affectations he picked up from podcasts. Which is why the type who would do a shooting like this talks like a based poster.

I have a hard time that someone who truly believes those things also has a blind spot for ableism that hadn't been beaten out of them by comrades. It seems more likely it's just the leftist equivalent of a pepe poster.

[–] Demifriend@hexbear.net 33 points 1 week ago

I believe it, ableism is widespread among western communists in my experience. This seems more extreme than most, but still not particularly surprising to me.

[–] marxisthayaca@hexbear.net 31 points 1 week ago

Sounds like he might have been sarcastic or just mentally unwell at the time.

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 29 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Nah his goodreads got published and it was dozens of serious theory and history books. Dude knew what was what.

This makes sense to me. There is a specific kinda fatalistic ableism you can get watching a loved one suffer from mentally illness and take the rest of the family down with them. I am not saying it's right. I am saying I can see how someone prone to adventurism would develop ideas like that.

Watching a suffering person make so many others suffer and knowing there might be no way to fix it is soul destroying for many people. When you consider the kind of fatalism requires for adventure time. 🧮

Every single person on this website has said something in private at some point in their lives that, when stripped completely of context and publicized without their consent, would make them look worse than this single cherry-picked instance of personal weakness. Klippenstein, for all the value I think he has as a journalist (compared to his peers anyway), is still an American liberal anticommunist. He dug through a decade of private chats specifically looking for the most controversial things he could find, and this is the worst thing he could find to say about a committed communist sacrificing his life for the cause of Palestinian liberation.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago

^^^^ This guy is going away to prison for his whole life. He obviously shouldn't have done it, and shouldn't have said that stuff about his friend's brother either. But the least we should do is extend a bit of grace and show him solidarity.

[–] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 67 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Uhh... is there a user who suspiciously disappeared on this site?

wait dude might have been a poster here lmao

[–] Cimbazarov@hexbear.net 54 points 1 week ago

Seems like this guy was consistent for many years. If they searched my chat logs they could prob find beliefs I had years ago that contradict what I believe now

[–] Chana@hexbear.net 52 points 1 week ago (2 children)

lmao holy shit chat is this real he was a Maoist Third Worldist?

dude spoke no lies ngl, almost feel like the ableist part was put in to make him not likable

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 52 points 1 week ago

idk brainwroms be brainworms. there's plenty of people who are right about whitey and right about economics but haven't been made to reexamine the cultural osmosis take on geopolitics or other minoritized groups.

[–] kristina@hexbear.net 36 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

i mean we dont even know the context it was said in, if it was in the context of the person being physically abusive (it seems the comments were in reaction to something) i could understand the sentiment but still not like the phrasing.

also it feels weird to dig through a guys private texts for the past 10 years for the spectacle. im sure ive said things that would sound horrible to 99% of people if taken out of context from a private dm, especially stuff i said when i was much younger and pre-transition

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

TBH I think Ken probably just had to add some negative stuff after laying out the meat of this piece, because if he only included the positive stuff he'd get more FBI visits.

[–] kristina@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

more fbi visits = more attention and money tbh. he should start talking about how great maoism is

[–] plinky@hexbear.net 48 points 1 week ago (1 children)

must-go this is all cause of assad fumble

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago

That one did break something in me. I am definitely 10% more likely to do something very funny now, 10% more jokerfied.

In answer to your inquiry :

National and racial chauvinism is a vestige of the misanthropic customs characteristic of the period of cannibalism. Anti-semitism, as an extreme form of racial chauvinism, is the most dangerous vestige of cannibalism.

Anti-semitism is of advantage to the exploiters as a lightning conductor that deflects the blows aimed by the working people at capitalism. Anti-semitism is dangerous for the working people as being a false path that leads them off the right road and lands them in the jungle. Hence Communists, as consistent internationalists, cannot but be irreconcilable, sworn enemies of anti-semitism.

In the U.S.S.R. anti-semitism is punishable with the utmost severity of the law as a phenomenon deeply hostile to the Soviet system. Under U.S.S.R. law active anti-semites are liable to the death penalty.

J. Stalin January 12, 1931

anticommunists and just making shit up, you cannot name a better duo

I don't agree. Most of them will just fall into line living their lives in the new state. The ones that matter will be fighters and they'll mostly die fighting. The ones that do not wish to fight will just fall into their lives in the new country.

Their children will be educated by the new state and their children will be better people.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 26 points 1 week ago (4 children)

I think I mostly agree with you, but how could it be possible to just fix the settler problem by education alone out in the countryside of the US? Would it not become a reactionary stronghold? How could you consistently find teachers in extremely white rural areas who wouldn't just reproduce the white supremacist ideology for the next generation?

Like, think about why the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution were pursued in China. And in China, the bourgeoisie was a relatively small portion of the population even in the countryside with all the landlords. In the US, essentially every white person who owns land is literally benefitting from a multiple century long settle colonialist program. I don't know if you fix that just by putting the more relatively progressive people in charge of education.

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago

If you can't get them locally then ship em in from loyal party members. Is the party cadre going to enjoy that outcome? Fuck no. But they could do it. Give them a double-job as living in the area will make them useful for analysing how to alleviate the poverty there.

Once people's lives start actively improving they will not be a problem.

That is never going to be feasible in the first place. Lifetime imprisonment for 10-90 million people? Think of the logistics, think of the resources needed to make that happen. Like one prison riot and your revolution is over.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago (2 children)

China is doing it to the Uyghurs in Xinjiang right now. 500 million people in prison. Putting the ethics aside, I've found it a pretty huge inspiration for my Factorio playthrough to try to replicate the logistical achievement.

[–] Sinisterium@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Yes of course the PRC has 50% of the Chinese population in prison. This makes total sense.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 26 points 1 week ago

Mao once said that political power grows out the center of a TARDIS, that's how they manage to find enough space for everyone.

[–] Staines@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

China is an authoritarian state, they mandate that the 50% least loyal population are uygulag'd at all times.
