made-it-the-fuck-up I didn't inject myself full of nanomachines to not challenge people to fights!

Obvious childish BS aside, this is cowardly as fuck. If any person hits a senator they're gonna get fucked legally somehow. It's like an NCO or officer in the military challenging a private to hit him. Even if you win, you lose. Cowardly shit. Would be a shame if he got Rand Paul'd.

[-] Nagarjuna@hexbear.net 54 points 10 months ago

Bring back duels on the senate floor.

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 32 points 10 months ago

We're currentl 0:1 in favor of slaver shits. We need a chance to even the score.

[-] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 35 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Honestly the chance to beat another senator to death with a cane is the only reason I'd even want to be one

Plus all the senators are fascist now so I could just close my eyes and swing away

[-] JohnBrownNote@hexbear.net 15 points 10 months ago

target rich environment

[-] Nagarjuna@hexbear.net 13 points 10 months ago

On the other hand, the last political duel ever was won by a socialist, so we've got that

[-] kristina@hexbear.net 10 points 10 months ago

Probably why it was outlawed

[-] RNAi@hexbear.net 34 points 10 months ago

Would be a shame if he got Rand Pauled

What happened to that dipshit?

[-] ME5SENGER_24@lemm.ee 49 points 10 months ago

Rand was a bad neighbor and got the shit kicked outta him. Then his neighbor (the ass kicker) had his punishment increased because Rand’s a whiny little bitch with strong political connections.

[-] regul@hexbear.net 43 points 10 months ago

Rand Paul's neighbor assaulted him with suburban rage over Rand's sticks being on his side of the property line. Broke a couple of his ribs, but because Rand's a senator he got sentenced to like a year in prison.

[-] RNAi@hexbear.net 30 points 10 months ago

Critical support

[-] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 21 points 10 months ago

Didn't Rand also lose hearing in one ear?

[-] Findom_DeLuise@hexbear.net 17 points 10 months ago

Bet he didn't hear that coming

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/prosecutors-reveal-why-rand-paul-was-attacked-neighbor-n839366

I think that gives the idea enough.

Rand pissed off his neighbor somehow and his neighbor beat his ass. Broke a rib apparently.

Rand, being the omega pussy he is, allowed prosecutors to slam the neighbor with a felony for "hitting a congressman" even though the assbeating was purely for personal, not ideological, reasons. Rand Paul is a sack of dogshit who happily weaponizing state violence: no surprise.

[-] Adkml@hexbear.net 26 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Rand wouldn't stop dumping lawn trimmings on his neighbors lawn so his neighbor beat his ass and then the rugged individualist libertarian got the government to charge his neighbor charged with political violence for defending his property rights.

Sucks for his neighbor but you couldn't ask for better proof that literally everything they claim to believe is horseshit.

[-] FloridaBoi@hexbear.net 17 points 10 months ago

Neighbor punched him a few years ago

[-] dead@hexbear.net 58 points 10 months ago

There's a line that Sean O'brien frequently says: "Fighting for workers is a full-contact sport". He says it to conclude his speeches and he has it in his twitter bio.

[-] Nagarjuna@hexbear.net 31 points 10 months ago

Despite it being a clear violation of labor law, he's been on record advocating for "boston pickets"

[-] mkultrawide@hexbear.net 25 points 10 months ago

boston pickets

Never heard that term, but based on what some of my family in Local 25 have to say about O'Brien, I assume it means getting physical?

[-] Nagarjuna@hexbear.net 20 points 10 months ago
[-] Frank@hexbear.net 21 points 10 months ago

Hell yeah. Labor Law is bullshit.

[-] Nagarjuna@hexbear.net 14 points 10 months ago

[-] Othello@hexbear.net 46 points 10 months ago

god i wish they would fight

[-] hrimfaxi_work@midwest.social 59 points 10 months ago

A labor leader with 18 years in union administration has admittedly probably gotten soft, but I got 10 on a teamster every time.

[-] Othello@hexbear.net 36 points 10 months ago

oh no question money on teamster

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 23 points 10 months ago

Nah they're probably, like, training in secret to be a badass old person, Iroh style, so they can specifically do violence. I choose to believe!

[-] GorbinOutOverHere@hexbear.net 12 points 10 months ago

It's what i do

"Girl, I roll 1.3 million dues payers deep. A threat to one is a threat to all, motherfucker, come get some."

[-] pumpchilienthusiast@hexbear.net 37 points 10 months ago

so much for Senator Bernie Sanders stepping into the ring with a folding metal chair

[-] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 36 points 10 months ago

Historically, challenging the Teamsters to a fight doesn't end well for whoever challenged the Teamsters too a fight. Hope you didn't need those kneecaps

[-] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 14 points 10 months ago

Teamsters don't fuck around. They had our backs when we did a strike years ago. Company caved once the Teamsters got involved. Love them forever.

[-] Ericthescruffy@hexbear.net 35 points 10 months ago

Bernie: "Gentlemen! You can't fight in here! This is the war room!!!"

[-] culpritus@hexbear.net 26 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Sean O'brien

union-man

willing to fight a Klingon on the picket line

e: also this would be a great UFC promotional match, O'brien's proceeds could go to the union coffers even, probably the only way for this to go down without some federal charges

ee:

sicko-wistful

After continued back-and-forth on social media between the two after the original March incident, Sen. Mullin challenged the Teamsters president to a charity MMA fight. "MMA fight for charity of our choice. Sept 30 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'll give you 3 days to accept,” Mullin tweeted.

[-] plov_mix@hexbear.net 21 points 10 months ago

Bernie: CIVILITY!! NORM!!

[-] mkultrawide@hexbear.net 18 points 10 months ago

Sean O'Brein is from Medford and was born into an Irish Catholic Teamsters family. I have family in Local 25, them boys can scrap.

2016 Bernie would have told O'brien to stand down because assaulting a US Senator is a Federal felony. Then he would have said, "I'll do it" and bludgeoned the shit out of Mullin with a podium, Via Getty style. punished-bernie

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 14 points 10 months ago

No, no, I want to see some asshole whose entire career is selling skidoos take on the champion of the Teamsters. Let them cook.
