Lemmy.world is reddit with another interface. All the people there are redditbrained to the core, no wonders that instance was born last July when lemmy was invaded by lib redditors. Lemmy.world mods are (sometimes really) reddit mods. (before july, the biggest instance was lemmy.ml that IMO is way better)
the_dunk_tank
It's the dunk tank.
This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.
Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.
Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.
Rule 3: No sectarianism.
Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome
Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)
Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.
Rule 7: Do not individually target other instances' admins or moderators.
Rule 8: The subject of a post cannot be low hanging fruit, that is comments/posts made by a private person that have low amount of upvotes/likes/views. Comments/Posts made on other instances that are accessible from hexbear are an exception to this. Posts that do not meet this requirement can be posted to !shitreactionariessay@lemmygrad.ml
Rule 9: if you post ironic rage bait im going to make a personal visit to your house to make sure you never make this mistake again
Sorry for my ignorance, but is lemmy.ml left wing, by chance? I find the lemmy vs lemmygrad thing to be really confusing.
Lemmy WAS supposed to be leaning that way, at least with its anti imperialism and anti reaction....
But it's more of a gateway than Lemmygrad.ml, the real deal vanguard....
Ohhhh. Thank you.
I think it's more important to note that the DEVS for Lemmy are leftists.
The reddit geeks came over here and had the gal to complain about leftist sentiment on "THEIR" platforms.
The admins are Marxists (you probably know, libs from other instances cry about "tankie redfash admins censoring my poor, totally respectable opinions" all the time) The userbase itself is a mix of everything, It was one of the only 2 populated instances a few months ago after all. Anyhow a big chunk of the userbase (I'd say the majority) is left-wing with some of them (me included) being Marxists, or as the average 'worlder calls them: "evil redfash tankies"
Tldr: the instance doesn't censor/shun Marxist and generally left-wing opinions, and I'd say at least half of the userbase is some flavor of left-wing.

Reddit ass instance.
I have no idea why .world's admins and userbase even left in the first place, they're not even allowing discussion of piracy ffs. Might as well they go back, it would lessen their workload dramatically with the help of the reddit admins in removing leftists.
They'd rather be the head of a snake than the tail of a dragon.
That is to say they enjoy the feeling of power and control that comes with being admins and don't want to go back to being shitty normals on reddit

Damn, good phrase I'm borrowing that
Probably just here for the reddit clients that have also moved to Lemmy. Sync, Boost, Infinity etc.
The extreme levels of reddit brain cope of banning a user that wanted to block your crappy instance anyways
The bot discourse that was created as a result of the 2016 election interference nonsense has been probably the worst thing to happen to public internet forums.
That instance is Reddit tier liberalism distilled into the purest form of ideology.
Update: Under Settings > Blocks (Scroll allllllll the way down) > Version 19.0 Actually DOES have Instance Blocking!
I forget the details but I think it doesn't block all interactions with that instance and its users, just posts from comms on that instance or something
communist robot sex himbos? more likely than you think
At this point, make a lemmy.ml account and just post with them...
