My favorite joke was when they included John Lennon on a list of communist dictators.

Rationalwiki is kind of cursed.

Other examples of human rights violation and crimes against humanity include include:

  • Cuba under Fidel Castro
  • North Korea
  • The German Democratic Republic and the StasiWikipedia
  • Yugoslavia Under Tito
  • Romania under Nicolae Ceaușescu

And the list goes on and on.

The flattery it does for a certain techbro apocalyptic sex pest cult based on Harry Potter fanfiction is also :sus-soviet:

I mean yeah it was started by angry Conservapedia posters, of course it's trash.

Then why are they socially progressive on most issues? And like, have the single best page on Gamergate on the whole internet?

This doesn't track.

It was mentioned on the most recent QAA. The founders were all former Conservapedia contributors who got put off/banned by Schlafly's creationism.

Gives me strong New Atheist vibes any time I wind up there, so I wasn't shocked.

Yeah I thought it was a leftist memey wikipedia

[-] autismdragon@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

Not quiet leftist because their takes on AES countries and communism in general are really bad but definitely like, center-left and very definitely socially progressive.

Citation? I always thought it was more a mix of the david pakmin and destiny types.

[-] combat_brandonism@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

Most recent QAA talks about it as a tangent.

[-] TankieTanuki@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

Really? But that site hates Conservapedia, doesn't it?

conservapedia has too much young earth creationism, that was the cause of the split

[-] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

I thought it was made by a bunch of libs in response to Conservapedia?

[-] combat_brandonism@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

Per the last QAA they were all Conservapedia contributors.
