You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain

i dont even understand how napster is a thing still, even in its current form. Feels like everyone has spotify or nothing.

Last I checked, their royalty rates to artists were the best of the streaming services.

Oh the irony.

There's a fantastic adblock thing for Spotify called BlockTheSpot. I've used it for years to listen to Spotify for free without ads. Their Reddit sub has an under-the-radar name - Spotifyhosts.

I thought this meant they opened a 20+ year old fortune cookie, but apparently napster still exists.

Yeah, I was thinking "Napster lasted way longer than 3 months and I am still listening to some of that free music some two decades later." Two points come to mind: 1. Geez, it really has been more than twenty years. 2. Is it really positive branding to use a name that people associate with mislabeled snuff films?

Brand recognition is a hell of a drug

This is hilarious, an American culinary imitation of Chinese cuisine just ends up being a vehicle (that already costs money!) to deliver fucking ads

Download music using soulseek… one must pirate… millions will follow…

i got one that was just an ad on one side and lotto numbers on the other, felt like "fortune" cookie was a bit of a misnomer
