This is just the “red state people deserve what they get under Republicans” applied to the whole nation.

“You want to sacrifice LGBT people because of Palestine? Fine, go ahead and let Trump win. Let’s see how Trump is going to treat these minorities. You deserve all you’re gonna get under Trump.”

They want to punish the millions of people who didn’t turn up to vote for Kamala. They want Trump to punish the whole nation until everyone repents and concedes that “I really should have voted for Kamala/New Republicans.”

The worst thing about this is that, enough people (especially minorities) might actually get scared/actually punished over the next two years that the New Republican Party might win big in the midterms and in 2028. All they have to do is to sit patiently and wait for Trump to do the job for them for the next two years.

I've seen so much of this shit and it disgusts me every time.

The peaceful transfer of power is part of the core platform and one of the few things they can actually deliver on.

I've already seen libs bragging about the civility of Harris and Biden not making a fuss about conceding and turnover.

Libs constantly shout how he's literally Hitler and every election against trump is the "most important of our lifetimes" yet they don't post a single illegal-to-say, the-doohickey, or barbara-pit let alone do any direct action against him taking office

I mean, what's the alternative? He won the game by the rules they themselves set.

*Obvs the alternative is to stop being libs lol

[–] zeca 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

i guess the alternative is to use the observable momentum towards fascism in order to strenghten a fight for a better democratic system.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

"but if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all"

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Of course, if they didn't well they wouldn't be libs would they?

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

It does bring me some satisfaction to know that these party dead-enders will be some of the last democrats. We'll still be reading their condescending missives right up until the last chamber door splinters

[–] the_post_of_tom_joad@hexbear.net 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Hot damn but i scare myself, the strength of my wish to see their faces change when that shining moment comes. I want to be there in that second.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 3 points 1 day ago

What an oil painting it would make

[–] ThermonuclearEgg@hexbear.net 12 points 1 day ago

Well, they're not all out of ideas, it's just that they're kind of BlueAnon-level.

why is democrats qualified by "modern"? Bc the older democrats would have supported him (more) openly?

[–] KobaCumTribute@hexbear.net 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Older democrats wouldn't have respected German laws because they only acknowledged American laws and the American civic cult as legitimate. They were true, militant believers in America's brand of liberal proto-fascism and didn't tolerate foreign brands of fascism. Until those brands had been safely acquired as subsidiaries of the American empire, that is. Then the foreign fascists became special good boys who deserved lots of money and guns to do violence for American hegemony.

Your comment reminded me on how anything on this forum can bring on needlessly long-winded statements that serve nothing but intellectual self-aggrandizement. You are not dishing out grand facts. I was poking fun at the meme's wording.
