british press so desperate for content their scraping AOL chatrooms - no i don't actually know what mumsnet is and i refuse to find out

Uneated but i absolutely fucking hate "mum"

Fuckin limey bastards. Your mother is not a fuckin flower. She's not a chrysanthamrnahanenemum. Im drunk.

Mumsnet is prosecco stormfront for british winemums who think the main problems the UK faces is "AGP TIMs" and immigrants

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 12 points 16 hours ago

Mumsnet is basically up there with stormfront as per internet forums

Mumsnet is a British forum for a particular sorta mum.

Y'know the kindsa parents that go ballistic on Facebook or, like, parent-teacher meetings about how disgusted they are that little Timmy or whatever is being taught that gay people exist? Imagine if there was a website just for them.

If you can remember that time Mermaids was targeted by transphobes, that was them.

It's a backwards country so probably some form of Internet Relay Chat that requires dialup internet to access for some arcane reason, and also requires a loicense from the King.

this seems like it's fishing for manosphere influencers to send clicks to it

How do you accidentally sleep with someone?

[–] CloutAtlas@hexbear.net 22 points 17 hours ago

Mashed the skip cutscene button too many times and Adam Sandler'd her way from sitting next to each other enjoying some room temperature beer under a portrait of the late Queen all the way to finishing up having a shag in the backseat of a car with the windows all fogged up like the Titanic sex scene.

Except the car is this:

I've seen a documentary about this. She probably slipped.

[–] propter_hog@hexbear.net 14 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

She probably thought he was older than 19, I'm assuming that's the "accident" here, that he was a teenager and not much older than her children.

no shade but did she not talk to him for like more than 5 minutes? thats usually the dead giveaway. not hating on the younger crew around here but as someone who is ancient its obvious to us

Look, okay-

A1 is a shitty steak sauce. Sleeping with it is a bit of a character indictment.

What a difference a single letter makes.

I feel like the same concerns would apply even if he was 25, she is still a woman sleeping with someone much younger.
So I don't really understand why she was okay with it then, but not when she realized he was 19.

There's a significant amount of maturing that happens from 19-25.

It's fine to have the conversation (I won't be involved because I don't find it all that enjoyable myself) and conclude "both situations bad", but they definitely aren't exactly the same.

[–] Tomboymoder@hexbear.net 6 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

If you are 30 I think it makes a difference, but if your 40 I feel like they are both children
