They were really showing off digital color grading in the late 90s.

And then came an explosion of orange and teal.

Into The Abyss: Teal and Orange - Hollywood, Please Stop the Madness

Sunday, March 14, 2010

Those of you who watch a lot of Hollywood movies may have noticed a certain trend that has consumed the industry in the last few years. It is one of the most insidious and heinous practices that has ever overwhelmed the industry. Am I talking about the lack of good scripts? Do I speak of the dependency of a few mega-blockbuster hits to save the studios each year, or of the endless sequels and television retreads? No, I am talking about something much more dangerous, much deadlier to the health of cinema.

I speak of course, of THE COLOR GRADING VIRUS THAT IS TEAL & ORANGE!!!

The blog post has loads of photos - of course. Sadly - "Drive (2011)" is missing because it came out the year after.

I'd eat one if I found one.

That's too hard for me to make a shitpost image for. But I did make this...

I made that from a photo of a real (and creepy) ice cream truck.

There is no background check or interview process, it's just random ass people so you're hopping in the car with a bunch of complete strangers.

Is there a serial killer ride-share movie? If not - there should be.

Cyberhaulin' (hexbear.net)

In the face of relentless ridicule, CyberTruck owners are so intent on proving they can haul things that they're going out of their way to find opportunities to haul things, and in the process they're demonstrating that they do not know how to haul things, inviting more ridicule.

A former Massachusetts police detective is accused of murdering a pregnant woman to prevent her from revealing that he allegedly groomed her as a teenager and then staging her death as a suicide.

Former officer Matthew Farwell, 38, was charged Tuesday with fatally strangling Sandra Birchmore, 23, in her Canton, Mass., apartment in 2021. An initial autopsy wrongly ruled that Birchmore had killed herself after Farwell used his police knowledge to stage the scene of his alleged crime, prosecutors wrote in court documents.

Brazil judge threatens to suspend X within 24 hours

The decision escalates a months-long feud between Musk and Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes, who has previously ordered the suspension of dozens of accounts on X for allegedly spreading disinformation. In April, Moraes ordered an investigation of Musk, accusing him of reactivating some banned accounts. Musk and other critics accuse Moraes of stifling free speech. In an order made public Wednesday, Moraes ordered Musk...

"to appoint the company's new legal representative in Brazil within 24 hours. In the event of non-compliance with the order, the decision provides for the suspension of the social network's activities in Brazil."
