I still don't know exactly what the kerryposting was about, other than some obscure drama centered around the chapo lifeboat discord and this site, but it did lead to my favorite post of all time on this site. I can't be bothered to find the post now, but I'll describe it as best I remember it. It was titled something like "look who's back" with a streamable link. Clicking on that link you got a video, which looks like a still image from a late night talk show. There's a fake brick wall with a window overlooking the image of a city skyline at night, and in the foreground is a plastic greek column made to look like it's been carved with olive branches. The opening notes of A-ha's "Take On Me" play, a few drumbeats that crescendo into an electric lick, and just as that crescendo happens out from stage left walks who else but John Kerry.

It's just so utterly absurd. Not sure why, exactly, but something about John Kerry being announced with synth-pop fanfare in this bizarrely grandiose way strikes me as the funniest thing imaginable.
