with you on the rest, but come on. it's a thousand shepherds on a barren rock no one else ever lived on.
In the case of the Falklands, for me it's less about democracy, and more that no single nation like the US or UK or France should be able to claim sovereignty over far-flung islands across the globe which then confer unearned navigational and resource rights.
