He actually argues better than me in mandarin, damn it. I'm only able to be friendly in mandarin sicko-wistful

Was surprised he knew the word for comprador in Chinese. Seems cool.

He seems like the type who may have learned Mandarin specifically for reading works with phrases like that ahah.

Yeah when he called them reactionary compradors it's like every synapse of my brain is begging me to learn Mandarin. I finally have a purpose.
