Enshittification does have a historic term: rent-seeking behavior. It's all about taking more money without creating wealth. Even Adam Smith vehemently opposed this and called it anti free-market, since he wanted the market to also be free from lords.

Now, so much of the US economy is built around rent-seeking and now we're all scratching our heads why China is kicking our asses, and our governments are so corrupt.

There's also a decently large group who make us look like bloomers, who think that humanity is irredeemable and deserve to die due to climate change etc.
