I'm doing fine with gel and thanks to my healthcare covering that, it's cheaper than DIY, which is about the only thing holding me back from switching to injections ATM (my country has no affordable estradiol injections due to pharma companies having no interest in the trans market).
But i'm still replying to boost this comment chain if anybody sorts by new.
