This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

it's not a cultural boycott and that's the fucking point. it's a targeted deprivation of profits from capitalists to extract concessions, and it is provably effective. "cultural boycott" is just nonsense anyway, what does it mean to boycott a culture, especially a nonexistant isntraeli one
The fact that governments everywhere are banning BDS tells me that it's extremely effective. If it didn't work they wouldn't care.
Guarantee "cultural" was just the modifier he tacked on to preempt the very obvious facts that boycotts do work
Just like China Hawks started calling it "cultural genocide" when it got too transparently ridiculous to call vocational schools genocide.
Genocide is a key component of Israeli culture, as pointed out by US lawmakers. To oppose genocide is a cultural boycott of Israel, and it harms Israelis by making them feel like targets.
