I know this was kind of an offhand comment, but I think we want to be much more measured with our critiques of power, and avoid playing fast and loose with what we label fascism.
Tons of people are able to exercise power responsibly -- lots of good teachers and parents out there -- especially when they have resources, education, and there's even minimal accountability.

Absolutely is an offhand comment. Hexbear is where I shit post about my beliefs, knowing that people generally don't want to be debate lord me over everything.
I promise my views are more nuanced than what I generally present.
