Today in Milan, a student activist group hung a trash-filled effigy of Musk upside down on a gate outside of piazzale Loreto, where Mussolini's body was displayed in 1945.

They left the message: "C'è sempre posto a piazzale Loreto, Elon" (There's always room in piazzale Loreto, Elon)

First Luigi, now this? Is Italian redemption arc on the horizon for 2025?

Americans could never dream of being so based.

Legitimately you'd almost definitely get arrested for that

"Free speech" country though. Just don't mock the rich, Israel, Israel defenders, American politicians, lobbyists, US military, the flag, Nazis... list goes on

There was a dude in the US selling CEO playing cards, or whatever and he got social credited. He lost access to Paypal and other stuff

[–] TraschcanOfIdeology@hexbear.net 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (2 children)

What other language could it be?

~~And wait til you find out Katyusha is originally an Italian antifascist song.~~

[–] thetaT@hexbear.net 3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

no, it was adapted into an Italian antifascist song later on. it was written in the soviet union in Russian, and Italian partisans later wrote Fischia il vento to the same melody.

Oh shit my b. I had misremembered.

[–] psyklax@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Is there a recording of the other version? Or, can you tell me what it is called? I want to hear it :-)

[–] thetaT@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

Fischia Il Vento is the title of the italian antifascist song

[–] Binette@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

I always thought it was a song from a country from the USSR because of that 😅
