Its not really much worse than the default political compass some folks take serious

At least with 4 dimensions, there's at least a chance for it to capture some more nuance than the regular political compass.

Who knows what the axes are supposed to represent though

I was looking at this thinking wow its all so bad until i saw Stalinism and i was like... ah something i can get behind!

In OP's tesseract, it's either neighboring or at opposite corners of a cube because they don't specify the actual points on the tesseract they're trying to put things at and far away points can look close due to the projection.

Hey now Mx didn't push me to accelerationism /s

I did kinda notice that after I made the comment. But I wish I had a stalinist neighbor.

Le Guinian Anarchism is way too far away from the Tao Te Ching

[–] TraschcanOfIdeology@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That's only if you're using euclidean distance. Who knows what weird coordinate system this political tesseract uses.

[–] ThermonuclearEgg@hexbear.net 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I've imposed a coordinate system on it:

Le Guinian anarchism seems to be at about (0.5, 1, 1, 1) and Tao Te Ching at about (1, 0, 0, 0.8) for a four-dimensional Euclidean distance of √(0.5² + 1² + 1² + 0.2²) = √2.29 = 1.51327...

Given that the maximum distance is √4 = 2, that's pretty far away.

I like fuck it nihilism

But I love decentralized permaculturism

Hey, me too. I was startled to have been described so thoroughly with two words in an otherwise inscrutable meme.

I see MLK Jr-ism, but I'm surprised they didn't include RFK Jr-ism

Oh wait this is a 3d model

[–] milicent_bystandr@lemm.ee 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

As a tesseract, I think it's supposed to be 4D.
