donated millions to charity

The motherfucker was the Head of State, he could have ended the need for charity.(like the Soviets did, for a time :ussr-cry: )

[-] HumanBehaviorByBjork@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

also i wonder what the Polish monarchists think about Russian revanchism? has it occurred to the empire perverts that some of their aspirational empires overlap?

[-] usernamesaredifficul@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

what the Polish monarchists think about Russian revanchism

big assumption to say monarchists might think

[-] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

Created the Duma

Only after the Russian Revolution of 1905, and he dissolved it

[-] Huldra@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

If you're a monarchist you'd think the Duma was bullshit anyways and justifiably deprived of any real power lmao.

[-] SacredExcrement@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

Well they're willingly monarchists in the year 2022, of course they have contradictions like

The duma was cool and based

Only one person should control everything

[-] Poison_Ivy@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

“Dynasty lasted over 300 years”

Oh word?

I wonder who ended it and under who? :thinkin-lenin:

fascists love to back the losers after they lose. resentment over losing is their main psychological motivation.

[-] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

dae le sjws want le participation trophies :frothingfash: now let me tell you about le LOST CAUSE

[-] Llituro@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

resentment over the expectation of loss, as depicted by lionized stories of noble loss.

fascists love to back the losers after they lose.

Hahaha. glances despondently at the rotting corpse of the USSR while shedding a single tear That's totally just a fascist thing.

[-] HumanBehaviorByBjork@hexbear.net 0 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

yeah, this is also the world in which communism lost. and i think the lesson for the as-yet-unformed real movement is that we cannot unburn the ashes of the old world, only build the new one.

For what it's worth, I think the fetishism of dead communisms is more of a detriment than a benefit to today's left.

[-] JuryNullification@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

got shot like a fuckin loser lmao

[-] zifnab25@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

So crazy that getting killed by the opposition is a point in your favor.

It made me think of the Simpsons bit with Milhouse's dad bragging about sleeping in a racecar bed.

[-] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

:rage-cry: no! he was assassinated by traitors!!

truly monarchists are on one of the most high grade copiums imaginable :data-laughing:

[-] Shoegazer@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

owning a fancy car = you hate the poors

owning multiple mansions, palaces, generational fortune, having millions to even "donate" = lover of the poors

[-] blobjim@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

doubt Lenin actually had a car, probably just the vehicle they used to transport government officials lol.

edit: Look at this thing. Epic. https://unravellingtravel.com/lenins-rolls-royce-silver-ghost/

Two links to solid liberalism :LIB:

[-] TyMan210@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

the Soviet government passed one of its first acts ever, with the decree of 3 May 1918 that expropriated about 2,500 cars from the bourgeois members of society.

To give an historical perspective, this predates the October Revolution by about six months

lol

based

[-] ssjmarx@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

That first link is infuriating.

He then began to enjoy the good life just like the Tsars as illustrated by this photo taken at the May Day Red Army Parade in Moscow 1918!

Dude was a well documented workaholic to the detriment of his own health because of his commitment to the Revolution, but yeah this one photo of him being driven in a May Day parade proves that he just wanted to take toys from rich people and live it up.

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

They seem to think socialism is a poverty cult

[-] Huldra@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

They only think about socialism in bad faith so its not so much about their honest belief about what socialism is/should be, but that if they believe X they can strawman and slander socialist leaders like Lenin as hypocritical and grifters.

[-] 420blazeit69@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

If you're poor, socialism doesn't work because it makes you poor! If you're rich, you're a phony champagne socialist who's betrayed the people!

:parenti:

[-] LiberalSocialist@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

all people subbed to r/monarchism should be subjugated under my rule.

Loses a war to Japan so badly that his own navy helps to organize a revolt on their return home.

[-] HumanBehaviorByBjork@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

That just make Lenin even cooler

[-] SaniFlush@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Poland would be even angrier and somehow even more fascist if their territory was still property of a Russian monarchy.

[-] TreadOnMe@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

Winning is when you underestimate the Japanese because you are racist and get your shit kicked in.

[-] usernamesaredifficul@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

also the brilliant plan of "the japanese destroyed our fleet lets send a fleet roughly the same size all the way around the world at great expense, oh shit they destroyed that one too"

military genius he aint

[-] 420blazeit69@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

Couldn't be me in any grand strategy game

[-] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

Winning is when you get stuck fighting a war in two fronts, and you lose to fucking Austria-Hungary and the late Ottoman Empire
