Any cops that trip over get labelled as "injured" these numbers are always comical when you ask what they're considering an injury. Scrapes and hurt feelings boohoo.

In riots in my city, news circulated that an officers an arm had been broken by these horrendous protesters. Once the outrage cycle was over, it was confirmed that no officer did in fact get in injured.

One of my friends once got pulled to court for assaulting an officer. Their charge? The officer broke his hand beating the shit out of my friend.

For some context: This protest took place in the context of the Rosa Luxemburg conference, which is a yearly event organized by the newspaper "junge Welt". As they reported, multiple participants of the protest were heavily injured, including broken bones and a life threatening injury of an elderly man (German interview with a paramedic). As far as I can tell, the injured policemen are, unfortunately, not in a life threatening situation. The headline that they are injured is probably only right wing propaganda.

That is not true. The Lenin-Liebknecht-Luxemburg Demonstration has been a thing since 1919 to honor the deaths of these revolutionaries and has been a big state event during the existence of the DDR. It's independently organized by revolutionary organizations from all across Germany. The Junge Welt and the Rosa Luxemburg Konferenz has only been a thing since 1996 and is something completely different that happens on the same weekend. Both the RLK and Die Linke (left non-revolutionary socdem party) are somehow trying to claim this event.

Terrains German police are bad on:

  • Mud

  • Concrete

Can any German comrades organise the next protest on an ice rink for scientific purposes?

[–] sir_this_is_a_wendys@hexbear.net 19 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Hopefully all the non-pigs were uninjured

[–] MolotovHalfEmpty@hexbear.net 16 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Unfortunately they beat the shit out of a lot of comrades and almost killed an old man, but naturally fascist media sides with fascist scum.

[–] huginn@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

At least 15 people were beaten up and hurt badly by the police.

I figured. ACAB.

Oh no! Poor policemen, that were just minding their own business and in no way trying to provoke this exact situation, poor guys they were just standing around in riot gear all on their own and then these commies just beat them up for no reason at all oh no.
