Republicans: [Whatever I don't like] caused:

  • Whatever bad thing that happened you just saw in the news
  • The crops to fail
  • Whatever weather event just impacted you (location irrelevant)
  • Things to be expensive
  • Whatever ails you

The worst part, aside from how bad faith and transparent it is, is how so many idiots lap it up.

I hear abortion rights make republican politicians have gay sex in airport bathrooms, and “date” underage girls.

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 months ago

Hey, it's not dating... it's courting. GOP politicians are famous for marrying preteens. /s

Now, does that clarification make it better or worse...

[-] tsonfeir@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

I wonder who will be invited to Matt Gaetz wedding.

[-] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Roy Moore, probably.

“Meditate on this, Madam Speaker: When LD 1619 passed and went into law on October 25, you told God, ‘Life doesn’t matter,'" Rep. Michael Lemelin (R) said on Wednesday. "God heard you, and the horrible events on October 25 happened.”

I look forward to a time when brain-damaged victims of leaded gasoline stop expressing their opinions.

Same

It's crazy because if he says stuff like that, he's a good Christian. If I say something like that, I'm being mean to Madam Speaker.

Doubly so if I have science backing me up.

I say this right as someone on a different website is telling me I'm being mean/hateful because I said someone (who is a terrible person) is a terrible person. It just baffles me that in their mind, it's ok (Godly, even) to treat people like shit as long as you don't say you're treating them like shit. The gymnastics, man.

No, it was pretty much a failure from the military on down to the police that didn't remove firearms from that wackjobs possession.

But keep digging that hole you sexist piece of shit.

[-] MotoAsh@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Question: What's the hole for? Are we just waiting for it to get big enough that he falls in on his own? That sounds like a great way to end up with a bunch of holes everywhere with wooping morons in them...

[-] TimeSquirrel@kbin.social 3 points 3 months ago

We can fill the holes back in once they're all in there.

[-] GrymEdm@lemmy.world 18 points 3 months ago

These folks are the modern version of soothsayers that would demand an animal be sacrificed to appease the spirits/gods every time there was an earthquake, flood, etc. It's just linking a horrible event to something they don't like to fabricate a negative association for their superstitious audience.

[-] Mastengwe@lemm.ee 18 points 3 months ago

I hope everyone remembers this shit every time they see those idiots on here spewing nonsense about how both sides are the same.

Vote like your lives depend on it!

[-] SaltySalamander@fedia.io 16 points 3 months ago

I didn't know Abortion Rights could physically pick up a gun.

[-] Communist@lemmy.ml 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Of course he could, he's able bodied

weird name though

[-] HunterOfGunners@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago

This sounds dangerously like rewarding republicans for their wrong doing. "If you brandish your guns around and maybe kill a dozen or so people I'll vote in your favor."

[-] uberdroog@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

Long form fascism is still fascism

We already learned the cause, the shooter had a traumatic brain injury from serving as a weapons instructor in the military where he was subjected to routine explosive forces from firing grenade launchers inches from his brain. This is not controversial, there was a brain scan conducted that gave this evidence.

It follows a long line of brain injury sufferers committing crimes and acting erratically. This includes OJ Simpson and Aaron Hernandez. It is only a matter of time before the military can’t recruit anyone because of the likelihood of such an injury. The NFL is also finished. If I could short the NFL for the next 20 years, I would make that bet. Same with UFC.

Good fucking luck in that re-election you fucking pricks! I say this as some who was a Republican voter prior to the tea party taking over

[-] fluxion@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

How i long for the days when the tea party was the worst element of the GOP

[-] voracitude@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

This just in: fuckin idiot says fuckin idiot things. More at 11.

[-] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

So we don't have free will? Whenever we sin that's God forcing us to sin? That's one malevolent God.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

That's weird, since violent crime has been trending down for decades and that was prior to the cons taking it upon themselves to meddle with settled law.

[-] Rapidcreek@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Keep digging that hole, man.

[-] itsonlygeorge@reddthat.com 1 points 3 months ago

What a fucking clown.
