Oh yeah he's running. His platform is making the democrats even more racist.

[–] vegeta1@hexbear.net 52 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Because that worked last time.

[–] muirc@hexbear.net 31 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Worked for Clinton (Bill), so he's probably modeling himself after Slick Willy.

[–] vegeta1@hexbear.net 28 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Clinton did more than that though despite his obvious racism (CBC is a cruel joke). He actually had tangible accomplishments that these dems don't look like accomplishing tbh.

[–] came_apart_at_Kmart@hexbear.net 20 points 3 days ago

yeah, but Clinton didn't raise nearly as much money as Kopmala.

accomplishing stuff is secondary to funneling money into huge media buys, favored vendors, hoteliers/short term rentals, consultancies, and whatever other crazy kickback loops and eddys form in the firehouse of cash that is opened for campaigns.

sure did. the actually powerful people in this country got everything they wanted out of kamala

The moderate republicans will come out in force to vote for us any day now clueless

[–] TerminalEncounter@hexbear.net 60 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Gee I wonder who made the dems suck and no one believe that they'll do anything good for people

[–] Runcible@hexbear.net 20 points 3 days ago

everything wrong in America is Trump's fault and this is why we must complete our transformation into Trump. Only then can we undo the damage he has done

The echo chamber of pretending to care about trans rights.

[–] vegeta1@hexbear.net 32 points 3 days ago

You think about how fucked up it is that giving a shit for human rights is going too far

[–] Sodium_nitride@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

the-democrat actually, it's you snowflake LGBT(((Q))) people with your annoying demands for checks notes basic decency and equal rights that are the problem. Have you considered how that makes cis white suburbanites feel?

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 10 points 3 days ago

Or those wanting to treat the homeless/unhoused as people, who think prisoners shouldn't be slaves or think gig jobs need to be treated like real employees not just contractors

The do nothing party is toxic to his "we should do something about the minority question" branding.

"Mr. Newsom can you tell me how your political opinions diverge from those of your billionaire backers in the Getty family?"

NYTimes cannot say this because they are bourgeois garbage

[–] RiotDoll@hexbear.net 23 points 3 days ago

People always say to follow the money, and i'm assuming that conservative interests, and i mean fashy conservative interests, have finally really meaningfully sidelined anyone with wealth and power that has a conscience.

This kind of alignment gets bought. These ghouls think of things in terms of power and money, and nothing else. Newsom and other democrats are seeing where the wind blows, and are cowards, i'm sure of it.

[–] footfaults@lemmygrad.ml 25 points 3 days ago

[–] spudnik@hexbear.net 24 points 3 days ago
[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 16 points 3 days ago
