It's the dunk tank.

This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.

Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.

Rule 3: No sectarianism.

Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome

Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)

Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.

The liberal mind, entirely unable to understand that there doesn't have to be another evil that's as evil as the US for the world to make sense. Others may have client states. But not because the US's client states need to be balanced in a kind of mirror image. I want to say it's not a quadratic equation but my maths isn't really good enough to know if that's what I'm trying to say. I'll say this: even when the evidence clearly shows there's only one bad side, libs gonna be looking for another side to both sides bad the situation. I think some people call this Marvel brain. They misinterpret it as nuance.

ukraine is totally a client state, but a relatively new one. older client states include Fake Korea, Colombia (especially in the Plan Columbia era), pre-revolutionary Iran, pre-revolutionary Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan. the list is long. the MIC does a lot of business.

israel has been the VIP "key account" for a long time. the lucky strike account, if you will.

Chinese Taipei, Kosovo, the Ukraine, Occupied Korea, Occupied Palestine, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, Marshall Islands, all of the other occupied islands.

Iraq

Was it ever really though? The government they installed post-2003 was so ineffectual and became so dominated by Iran that I'm not sure it counts.

Used to be Canada's client state

What an unbearable person.

No thanks.

This is a Felix character

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 37 points 1 year ago

Massive I-was-saying in my own theoretical reply to that, too. Yes I do criticize such dubious "aid" especially when there's so many excuses given for why the local poor need to keep eating shit.

Who wouldn't say that about Ukraine?

[–] RedQuestionAsker2@hexbear.net 29 points 1 year ago

South Korea is not an American colony. Examine your own conscience when you make statements like this. Did you say it about south Vietnam?

People never give him full respect I feel, when he’s gone it’s a mess and he rarely misses.

Is Judy being antisemitic on herself? Asking 'cause of all the parentheses.

[–] Emanuel 9 points 1 year ago

Hopefully just a self aware ironic and in bad taste joke about her heritage.

[–] glans@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Just came to ask the same. I totally did not notice at first glance it just looked like twitter crap.

But wtf this person does not sound like sone sort of edge lord type... does she know what it means? Maybe someone tricked her imby telling her it means hugs or smthg

[–] blobjim@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago

It's just a thing that some people do as a rebuttal of the antisemitic use of the parentheses.

[–] Grandpa_garbagio@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

the consistency of the ideology is what's fucking her up at this point. maybe, she won't, see that soon

[–] TrashGoblin@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

I'm not going to talk about Judy.
