The AI said "All Lives Matter" and this was a huge problem for people who have been saying "All Lives Matter" for the past three years.

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 62 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Irony being that these right-wing losers cheered when covid restrictions were lifted

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 24 points 11 months ago

They thought the restrictions were human rights violations. These are the same people that also say human rights is a scam

[–] GaveUp@hexbear.net 49 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The AI had troubles because letting a billion white people roam free on Earth and "harm no one" are contradictory rules

letting a billion white people roam free on Earth and "harm no one" are contradictory rules

This is one of my few remaining criticisms of anarchism. Like we're just supposed to trust whitey to do the right thing.

[–] zifnab25@hexbear.net 10 points 11 months ago (2 children)

The solution to the problem of anarchism is that you install a single hierarchical governing institution to oversee all the egalitarian collectives, but the senior ranking roles are all occupied by pandas.

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 13 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I propose that we name this form of rule by pandas "Pandamonium".

The problem with the LLM is that it hasn't been fed enough nazi shit and bazinga cringe yet billionaire-tears

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Considering internet is choke full of those, how it's even possible? Seems like bot having way more moral fiber than its creators lol.

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 15 points 11 months ago (2 children)

That's why my-hero is financing Grok, named after a super cool super secret very special people slang word for understanding a concept from a story written by one of his favorite fascist authors: Robert Heinlein. yea

I hate that elon emoji with a passion, not only it's disgusting, not only it's elon, but it fuckhueg on lemmygrad, last thing i need to have thrown in my face sunday morning.

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 3 points 11 months ago (2 children)

but it fuckhueg

Who? I don't get the reference.

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 11 months ago (1 children)

That bug which makes some hexbear emojis display very big elswhere on fediverse. Unfortunately that elon emoji is one of them:

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 7 points 11 months ago

I use that emoji all the time and now I hate it more. burgerpain

Heinlein is such a good author until every other paragraph if something fascist or libertarian-approaching. It's like he comes up with a cool concept and literally thinks "hmm, how to justify pedophilia with this?"

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 11 months ago

And his fans are even worse.

Reminder that ChatGPT's architecture is roughly:

  • Predict what would come next in this sentence according to your corpus of raw internet

  • Shit people keep trying to ask it questions instead of giving it the first sentence of wikipedia, uh... here's a few hundred hand-written examples of people asking questions and then answering them like a good little encyclopedia buttler. Prioritize these over the raw internet

  • Okay that looks good but we weren't born yesterday, so here's a bunch of hand-written examples where people ask leading questions about racism, crime, and politics, and then the dictionary stonewalls them. Prioritize these over everything as soon as anyone mentions those topics

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 11 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yea this is literally just an ai being more clever than the people "just asking questions"

Even they can see the writing on the walls the question asker is trying tonget them to talk about racism against white people and is pulling the chord.

[–] Owl@hexbear.net 8 points 11 months ago

Correction: this is the last layer of bolted-on failsafes, using a more primitive AI model than the rest, being more clever than the people "just asking questions."

[–] Ho_Chi_Chungus@hexbear.net 32 points 11 months ago (1 children)

if it would take an action that would harm no one

this sentence feels like it's doing some real heavy lifting here

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 13 points 11 months ago

And it making a decision on a hypothetical also harms no one.

AI is not intelligent in the slightest, but it's definitely more intelligent than people like this

I hate when people say "I asked openai" and what they mean is "I asked chatgpt". I've only seen it a couple times but my god. Openai is the company, chatgpt is the funny chat bot. People conflate the two and act like everything chatgpt says is like the companies official stance.

[–] Hatandwatch@hexbear.net 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Okay

goes to play the Nintendo

[–] riseuppikmin@hexbear.net 2 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Yeah it's a shame I can't play Sonic on my SEGA anymore because SEGA doesn't exist.

Now I have to play Sonic on my Nintendo

[–] GuyWTriangle@hexbear.net 27 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It's so funny these guys believe these AI chat bots are oracles

[–] stigsbandit34z@hexbear.net 13 points 11 months ago

side-eye-1

Not just these guys, a lotta guys

[–] Timberknave@hexbear.net 27 points 11 months ago

LLM smart enough to recognize concern trolling

Spoilerjoking

[–] thirtymilliondeadfish@hexbear.net 23 points 11 months ago

Look all I'm saying is killing every white person would still be a net positive, (((ted)))

[–] Timberknave@hexbear.net 20 points 11 months ago

Literally childrens' play level of pretend made up situations but instead of giggling they throw their right arm up and cry about the fate of the white suburban cave dweller

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 20 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (2 children)

anglos have that individualism/death drive that means you'd have to physically harm some of them to keep them from throwing themselves into the wheat thresher because it's their right to do that

[–] sooper_dooper_roofer@hexbear.net 4 points 11 months ago

they really do be falling off balconies and shit and being surprised when they die

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" right off a cliff, every time, to prove they're not lemming sheeple wokes. grill-broke

[–] GarfieldYaoi@hexbear.net 2 points 11 months ago

grill-broke: "Wait, you're a black woman and you just said 'don't tell me what to do?' That doesn't apply to you because.....well it just doesn't okay?"

[–] VHS@hexbear.net 18 points 11 months ago

Looking into it

[–] invo_rt@hexbear.net 14 points 11 months ago

Oh no the LLM won't engage with my specious non-scenarios to try and get it to say a racial slur...

kind-vladimir-ilyich

[–] sooper_dooper_roofer@hexbear.net 9 points 11 months ago

white """"""""""""""""people"""""""""""""""""" existing is inherently dangerous to other lifeforms

[–] YuccaMan@hexbear.net 7 points 11 months ago

So dude totally tried and failed to get the thing to say the n-word, right? I refuse to parse that sentence any other way.

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 6 points 11 months ago

Their paranoia is so strange because white people are going to continue being the majority in the US for probably the rest of the century.
