I might have. Bourgeios revolution for slave owning settlers ain’t all that.

Britain didn't have slaves in chains in London. The only difference is that the slavery is happening over seas. Out of sight, out of mind.

The moral side in this conflict is with the freed slaves and native tribes, both of which overwhelmingly sided with the Brits. They didn't exactly have a great choice between the colonists who were actively killing them and the distant empire that had kinda sorta said something about not killing them as much, though.

Prince George was the harm reduction candidate.

I guess it makes sense, the Americans find themselves in basically the same position as the British were, the global empire that just wants things to stay the way they are and will kill any number of people to keep it that way.

The American Revolutionary War was deeply controversial.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loyalists_fighting_in_the_American_Revolution

The number of Americans who adhered to the British side after fighting commenced is still debated. An American historian has estimated that about 450,000 Americans remained loyal to Britain during the Revolution.

100% chance of some Americans, not a 100% chance of 100% of Americans. No one gets 100% of Americans to anything.

For context the population of the colonies was about 2.5 million, so around 1/4 were loyalists

Ehh the revolution was about all the richest men in the nation getting people to fight for them so they didnt have to pay tarriffs imposed by the British.

Pretty sure they could just appeal to the temporarily embaressed libertarians of the time and get them to die for rich men's profit just like any other war.

Remember that Sliders' episode where they ended up in the modern-day British American Colonies because in that universe the settlers lost the war? I think you're describing how that devolved.
