It's amazing how many libertarians I run into who run close to grasping things
They hate cops, they hate corporations, they know the politicians are crooked
But they for some reason think that if we get rid of the few protections we have, everything will be fine
It's maddening
"Clearly the problem is we haven't doubled down on what's failing" is a quintessential American mindset. It exists elsewhere, of course, but the USA has a unique flair for it.

This reads to me as someone who has personally experienced cops not being there to protect them, and has had a hard time processing that.
E) I didn't notice the combat veteran sticker before, but this is an understandable "type of guy." They did a tour in Iraq, then came home and found out that the america they killed scores of Iraqis for was one that had youtube videos of american police not protecting their kid(s) at Uvalde with the sound of children's screams removed on the cnn coverage.

Libertarians are sometimes VERY close, but inevitably they slip into "muh property", "freedumbz" or "heil hitler" on the last step.
They’re only close in the sense that they understand the state to be opposed to their class interest. But the correctness ends there because their understanding of class is the state versus everyone else. This smushes the bourgeoisie and proletariat into a single class, and it separates the bourgeoisie from the bourgeois state.

I meant specifically geopolitics, like the first libertarian of Poland and successful grifter Janusz Korwin Mikke have the best takes on geopolitics of all Polish mainstream and semi-mainstream politicians. Which isn't much to be honest it mostly meant rest of them have unconditional reflex of hating Russia and bootlicking USA, but still. Also every time he is about to get elected he staves off the danger with praising Hitler or something similar - he does that purposefully because actually getting elected is bad for his grift, and to the point it became a meme in Poland.
