It's one of those things Democrat voters hate but like to hear because they think it will play well in the suburbs or something (it doesn't), and there's like 4 Never Trump Republicans that really genuinely like it.
Somewhere like 30% of eligible voters just never participate in elections and feel detached from politics, and Democrats don't do anything to appeal to them.
2% of voters might switch from voting for the GOP to the Dems because of meaningless garbage like this, and Democrats are all over it.
Oh right, maybe the main thing that would attract the 30% of voters would be stopping the genocide and getting them public healthcare, so that's a non-starter.
