we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power

Well, that's more than he has ever done.

[–] Kieselguhr@hexbear.net 34 points 1 week ago

Republicans are fascists

We'll give them a seat at the table

Trump is the worst threat to America

[loses election]

we will peacefully transfer the power to fascists, but we are La Résistance

[–] RaisedFistJoker@hexbear.net 31 points 1 week ago (1 children)

trump is literally adolf hitler

we should peacefully give him the reigns of the country

there are 3 options here

  1. You dont believe point 1
  2. You dont belive point 2
  3. You want adolf hitler to lead your country
[–] veniasilente@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Bold of you to assume the US is my country, or that I'd want Orange Hitler to lead it if it was.

But, see, before anything else, I am a one person, with marginal zero power compared to even the Dems, yet they're the ones who have so far given zero reason to believe that they'd prevent it. Like, come on, we just came out of some spectacular election process! And second, what I'm going for is that she's showing more respect towards the process than he ever did. Moral high ground or whatever, it's just not her race anylonger. There's lots of people who can fight Trump for power, and, if you ask me, it's about time most of them stopped being lazy.

[–] Collatz_problem@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

If the process brought you to this, what respect does it deserve?

[–] veniasilente@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago

Judging an entire historical process for only the worst output? You know it's the same process by which good presidents did and do get elected, right?

Peacefully handing over power to the people they've called fascists this whole time that will destroy democracy uwu! So wholesome!

[–] veniasilente@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Uuuuh fam, her race is joever. Always has been. Have never seen her holding a gun, let alone sharpening a guillotine. There's lots people more qualified than her to prevent Trump by using force, now that the arena she's in has failed.

And, if anything else, she's taking the gracious way out

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Mate they are literally in office. They can legally drone strike Trump if they fucking want to. They're perfect happy to drone strike tens of thousands of children, but not the fascist ending america? Please think, please put the pieces together.

They do not mind that he's taking power. American democracy is kabuki theater. Either they don't really believe their rhetoric about him being a fascist intending to end democracy in america or they agree with it and are happily handing over power for that to happen - pick one. Their actions do not match the existential rhetoric.

What do you mean who?

...Hello? Jan 6?

[–] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

Imagine caring more about Jan 6th than the thousands of dead Palestinian children

Just by the numbers libs you may be even more deranged than actual zionists who won't shut up about Oct 7th because at least those fascists have some dead bodies they can point to (of course that doesn't justify the genocide, you know the one you voted for) but you care more about muh civility than human lives

For the record I support Hamas and Oct 7th and I think Jan 6th was hilarious

[–] Hatandwatch@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago

Libs are reaping what they sow and you're laughing!

[–] veniasilente@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Imagine caring more about Jan 6th than the thousands of dead Palestinian children

Imagine thinking you can read my mind, and not understanding context. Oh wait! it's 2024.

I've never implied that I care more about civility than human lives, I'm only saying it's her place to show civility now. Lots of people elsewhere to fight- oh wait! They don't care.

What would you think the overall response would be if, with so far nothing legally indicating a stolen election, Harris refused to acknowledge the results and proceed with the usual ceremony?

I would actually have respect for her.

[–] Hexboare@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Remarkable ability to not respond to any of the other posts

Anyway, you're happy with Trump taking power as long as it's bloodless?

[–] veniasilente@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oh excuuuuuse me, princess, for not being terminally online 24/7 just to please you.

If, lacking my presence, you'd prefer to pleasure yourself, I do can suggest a few devices.

[–] Hexboare@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago

Remarkable ability to not respond

Another example of this above

[–] kleeon@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

democrats should be doing everything within their power to make sure "peaceful transfer of power" does not occur

[–] veniasilente@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago (2 children)

If they did, they'd not be democrats. What (well, who) you're thinking of, is anarchists and revolutionaries.

Come on, try to at least pretend you're intellectually honest, we all know where the Dem party comes from.

[–] gay_king_prince_charles@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

They come from capital and ghey serve to protect capital. They have no other goals or interests other than ensuring the bourgeoisie's rule at all costs; when material conditions are declining, fascism becomes the way to ensure their power.

[–] Collatz_problem@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

We know, that's why we are saying they are okay with fascists taking power.
