Anyone here have issues staying asleep? Before transition I didn't have real issues with this but since transition it's been a problem. I got on some sleeping pills but am scared of getting addicted to them so I only take them every so often.
Idk if sleeping is just... Gonna be difficult from now on? Or if it's anxiety? Idk.
Same, I gave up on a "full night's sleep" and now just get up early and have a 90-ish minute siesta before work.
Although I think it's just the spiro making me pee multiple times a night. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Beyond peeing, spiro gave me bad insomnia. I would go to sleep fine but wake up about 4 hours later and unable to sleep at all. It was maddening
I've had sleep issues since I was a kid, now it's mostly having a really hard time falling asleep. Getting enough exercise and melatonin help a lot for me but it's still a struggle sometimes. Anxiety is definitely a factor. When I was going through some super stressful shit a couple months ago I consistently was unable to sleep for upwards of around 48 hours at a time and was perpetually exhausted. Having some of those stresses end was the biggest improvement, now I'm back to my normal level of bad sleep, lol
Hope your sleep improves

Oh good to know. My job has been pretty incredibly stressful and this week was particularly bad. Like so bad I could taste that bad taste in your mouth after triggering my fight or flight response. Yesterday was my rest day though from exercise and I am pretty much unable to sleep more than 5 hours on rest days :/
Yes, my sleep is usually super broken up. Although not transition related.
I've only had it lately as work stress is ticking up and family stuff is too.
I had plenty of issues with sleep before transitioning but I have anxiety and OCD issues. Since I started progesterone, my sleep has been absolutely better. It can help with sleep! But I'm also doing shift work so it's a crap shoot anyway lol.
Lol nice I have OCD too and yeah anxiety in general. I am also on prog and I'm actually wondering if the prog is hurting me haha. It's def making my boobs bigger though so .. it's worth it
