I love (read: hate) every time some hypothetical example of pedophilia gets discussed and it's like "okay but hear me out, the victim gets a gorillion dollars, an island, a robot monkey friend, the cure for cancer, and technically all of the emotional trauma gets offloaded to their clone that gets created from a sample of ethically sourced DNA. Would it then be okay?"

Those rebels without a clue tend to have a belief that they can easily distinguish reality entirely for themselves without even an acknowledgement of the accumulated knowledge and expertise of everyone that came before.
