Can anyone ivestigate her financial ties to israel?

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 51 points 6 months ago

She’s balls deep in “defense” equities and they’re making a killing right now raking in us tax dollars to ship arms to Israel. Then they get more taxpayer dollars to “replenish domestic stockpiles.” So yeah, there ya go.

On that note, wish we could stop rubber stamping the defense omnibus bills until the pentagon can successfully complete a financial audit.

A lot of people make a shit load of money from just making whatever trades she makes.

She is like 1 in a million lucky when it comes to making trades just before American policy massively influences the value of stocks.

I'm sorry, that was totally biased and incorrect of me, her CONPLETELY UNRELATED husband is lucky with the trades he makes that have nothing to do with her.

[–] Des@hexbear.net 20 points 6 months ago (1 children)

theres a long delay on when her trades are reported vs when they happen so it's too late by the time the reporting is done

otherwise i would have been all up in that shit during my brief flirtation with stonks-up

[–] qaopjlll@hexbear.net 11 points 6 months ago (1 children)

This isn't true, since the end of January I've been copying trades by Congress that get called out by QuiverQuant on twitter and more often than not they provide a sizeable return almost immediately. A few of them tanked and lost money (some of which immediately rebounded after I sold them), but even after accounting for those losses my strategy is still outperforming the market.

There's also an ETF called NANC which is based on Congressional trades made by Democrats, and it has been consistently outperforming the S&P Index over the past year. (KRUZ, the Republican equivalent fund, is underperforming the market.)

[–] MaoTheLawn@hexbear.net 2 points 6 months ago

that's incredible

Trump is gonna win 49/50 states

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 62 points 6 months ago

At his point the only response is "If you know you know"

Don't waste time arguing with liberals, don't spend energy getting upset at the framing of the protests.

Liberals were against desegregation, liberals were against women's suffrage, liberals have been against every antiwar protest ever.

The approval rating for these protest lines up perfectly with history. Majority of people approved of firing at the Kent state students. Majority of people opposed MLK Jr.

Just treat blue Maga the same way blue Maga treats red Maga.

Their entire personality is being a shamelessly hypocritical bloodthirsty fascist, the only difference is they try to claim the moral high ground while doing it.

Next time somebody tries to talk you down from your beliefs just tell them "yea I know you think that because you're a fascist, just like the vast majority of Americans who have been on the wrong side of every moral issue for two centuries"

Only one question matters at this point.

Is your hate pure?

[–] FnordPrefect@hexbear.net 61 points 6 months ago

"These allegations have been made several times involving a wide array of potential 'villains': Why are you so convinced that these student protestors are only doing so because of illicit financial contributions?"

good-morning "Well, what other motivating force is there?"

I really think Democrat politicians are just rage quitting on the youth vote now. Like, for decades, these ghouls have taken the youth vote for granted. Young people vote for Democrats. They can’t conceive of a world where they don’t have the youth vote. Now since Oct 7, they are seeing just how unpopular they are with young voters. I think there’s a material reason why they aren’t trying to woo back the youth vote - to do so would alienate AIPAC and other donors - but I also think there’s an emotional angle. They’ve taken the youth vote for granted for so long, they actually resent us making any demands of them. Like, how dare we ask them to do things, we’ve never asked for that before. No different than when black voters demand action, too. If the “locked down” groups start demanding things, then they can’t focus on the “up for grabs” white suburban middle class voters, and the whole grift just sorta falls apart.

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 49 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

They absolutely are and I hope the youth responds in kind.

The democratic party is an anchor around the neck of progress.

We'd literally be better with a unified republican party and the dems disolving. Maybe then you could actually form a coalition of meaningful resistance.

Currently dems are literally just a lightning rod to defuse revolutionary energy.

Libs love to say "oh you think not supporting the dems will make them listen to you?"

Maybe not but I've unfortunately done exactly what they've said and begrudgingly supported them because they said that's how you get influence.

And then they turn around and say they never needed you. I've tried begrudgingly suppirting dems for 2 decades and things have steadily gotten worse for the average person while they're doing fucking great.

Burn it all down.

[–] Hotspur@lemmy.ml 3 points 6 months ago

You nailed it. Been trying to resolve this in my head and it’s been a challenge, but the way you framed it exactly describes what I’ve been trying to get to.

[–] ClimateChangeAnxiety@hexbear.net 38 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Yeah I agree. At this point going against Israel would very clearly get you more supporters than you would lose. It’s not cynical strategy. It’s purely spite and anger. It’s “Oh, you want things now you ungrateful children? Fuck you, you get Trump now, I hope you learn your lesson about making demands.”

[–] Milksteaks@midwest.social 19 points 6 months ago

Man some fuckin guy was saying Biden is doing the right thing in terms of damage reduction. Theres 14 mil Jews in the us and only some 200k Palestinians so hes representing his electorate.

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 55 points 6 months ago (1 children)

She's probably got some degree of dementia, on top of a long, proud career of evil.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 14 points 6 months ago

I zoomed in on her face and you can see a little confused terror in her eyes

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 26 points 6 months ago

I don't really care how stupid she is, her actions are evil.

I'm not giving her a pass based on incompetence.

"WHERE'S NANCY?" yamagami

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 32 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Liberals are going “um, actually” over the full quote saying that she believes some of it is organic but Russia is using disinformation to take advantage of the situation.

Basically saying Russia has a hand in it growing because Putin is trying to distract from Ukraine. This is what I hear liberals saying.

It’s pretty wild how I used to be somewhat credulous with libs because they seemed intelligent. More time passes and you begin to see how stupid most of them actually are compared to how they think they come across.

[–] porcupine@lemmygrad.ml 16 points 6 months ago (1 children)

While some suggest that the earth's day-night cycle is an apolitical scientific phenomenon, we need the intelligence community to look into credible reports that Putin is taking advantage of predictable periods of light and darkness to undermine US strategic interests.

I can really see that happening somewhere along the empire fall line: "Our energy infrastructure is not crumbling, i repeat, it's not crumbling. We purposefully turn off electricity at random points for random intervals taking as much as few weeks to get back on to make it harder for the Russian spies to subvert our glorious nation of freedom!"

[–] DamarcusArt@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 6 months ago

They're people who have invested all their energy into $40 words and sounding "academic" when they speak to give off the impression of intelligence, without actually bothering to learn any of the information that would actually be relevant to a topic.

It's why when they talk at each other it just sounds like two wikipedia articles being copy-pasted back and forth.
