I'm really impressed and it's making me just feel better about everything that someone can still get away with cool crime.
Gotta have nerve for starters.
Nerve is only the start. That gets the deed done. Getting away with it takes a plan and the ability to make good on that plan and considering the circumstances there are numerous points of failure you could deal with, managing to minimize those and make a clean getaway where there is pretty much no information at all available still is more than just nerve. That is what we call effective planning and execution that you don't often see. Most assassins just accept they're gonna get caught before trying and either allow themselves to be or off themselves after. At this point the shooter could apply for a job at UHC and not get busted. That's the difference that makes it way cooler
But nerve is what keeps your wits about you to pull off that meticulous planning. 
Better planning=less nerve necessary/nervousness produced. And that better planning and support necessary for good deeds being done the better. That's how you get from one dude making a clean getaway to open executions with cheering crowds.

Police only solve around 40~50% of all murders on average, with some places being as low as 25%. Unless it's another pig who got clipped, then their clearance rate jumps over 90%.
It's really hard to get away with murder if cops actually try to solve it. They will no doubt have the resources to find out who killed their boss.

some part of me wishes that it some some average person getting retribution for his loved one's life saving claim getting denied; but the shooter's demeanor suggests a professionalism that comes from doing something like this a lot and professionals get paid by someone.

Plenty of working class people train with guns and are possibly ex-military. You donβt even need to be ex-military though, just level headed, know how to use a gun, and be able to keep your adrenaline under control.

Not to be overly annoying but him triggering WWI is a bit of a "myth" for a bunch of reasons. The most easy of which is if all it took was some shitty prince and princess getting got in Sarajevo to make Europe start killing each other then WWI was going to happen eventually (which is true. Germany was deadset on forcing conflict). You also had the Russian Empire going to shit under incompetent Nicky. Ottoman empire imploding. Tons of other conflicts and systems failing that I can'tp recall from memory at the moment. One man in Sarajevo seems inconsequential (the prince or his assassin) in the large picture

Its not really a 'jam' in the sense of an unexpected failure that requires diagnosis of the problem before you can fix it, its pretty common when using subsonic ammo, the lesser amount of gunpowder in the round prevents the action from cycling, so you just know to do it every shot.
Thats like supressed pistols 101, any idiot that watches a guntuber on youtube a couple times a week will pick that up by osmosis.
What does indicate a better degree of professionalism is yes, what you call demeanor.

The handling of the weapon, the speed at which he does things like cycle the weapon, nope that didn't cycle properly, cycle again, fire, etc.
Doesn't bolt out of there, doesn't panic, no indication at any point he is overcome with fear or anxiety, just does the thing, gets on a bike, leaves.
It's CNN so take it with a grain of salt, but the talking heads are leaning into this being a hit man. Which on the one hand is disappointing because I wanted it to be a comrade but on the other, we get to see factions of the bourgeoisie fighting each other in broad daylight 
The media are never ever going to float the idea that a regular pissed off person would do this as an act of revenge/retribution/justice. It has to be a non ideological act, or the act of a madman. They cannot possibly offer any other explanation because simply recognizing the idea that the 99% can use violence to scare their oppressors is too threatening to be acknowledged.
