They'll go back to brunch, gloat a little about how abandoning their values was the best strat all along, and then the leaders will feel even more empowered to do some more heinous realignments.

[–] themoken@startrek.website 55 points 8 months ago (1 children)

The Democratic party has always been for migrant child decapitation, you just weren't liberal enough to see how it's woke.

I know one thing is for sure:

Nothing will fundamentally change.

As much as he wishes he could keep that promise, he doesn't run the fundaments. Might not look like anything now but someday the bottom's gonna drop out.

[–] GeorgeZBush@hexbear.net 47 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Those little street celebrations libs held when Brandon won were so pathetic. Like you know they imagined themselves as being like, the Rebels at the end of Return of the Jedi. The Evil Orange One has been defeated! His dastardly schemes have been foiled! At long last, Hope has been restored to that esteemed citadel of civilization and democracy! Even back then though, before Inflation, genocide, and prelude to World War III, it was all so hollow.

So I think Genocide Joe prevailing again would just lead to an even more darkly pathetic spectacle. Almost like that scene in Der Untergang when Eva Braun and the other Nazis are partying and dancing just before a Russian shell blows out the windows.

[–] PorkrollPosadist@hexbear.net 25 points 8 months ago

Like you know they imagined themselves as being like, the Rebels at the end of Return of the Jedi.

I didn't even see one skull xylophone. Fucking pathetic.

still think the best outcome would be Trump winning so Biden does a Jan 6th coup.

  1. The Biden dictatorship will be able to govern by decree, bypassing republican obstruction on things like infrastructure, abortion rights, renewable energy

  2. it would greatly diminish international standing and diplomacy.

  3. It would very likely provoke a civil war, which will stop America from being able to do imperialism for some time and destroy many military assets of the empire.

  4. 0.056% chance that during the Battle of the Florida Keys, we see Zumwalt-Class vs Zumwalt-class fighting. ($800 million dollars worth of munitions fired, 0 hits scored, both ships are sunk by naval mines while retreating)

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 20 points 8 months ago

0.056% chance

Does that surprise anybody else?

He's going to have a massive stroke in the middle of the vote count and die mere moments before squeaking out a 0.1% win against le bad orang man

Kamala will then sustain life-threatening injures in a coconut tree-involved incident

Trump promptly dies of a heart attack from shock while shidding and farding out his doo doo ass

Here's how Nikki Haley can still win...

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 7 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Kamala just straight up says "I did not sign up for this bullshit" and forfeits the presidency to republicans, liberals literally explode from yelling yas queen so hard.

[–] Findom_DeLuise@hexbear.net 4 points 8 months ago

KHive horseshoe theory confirmed theory-gary

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 34 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Same exact thing as 2020, complete with a limp meat attempt at another coup from a couple hogs (on ATVs this time, Mad Max style). Then in 2024 we get mecha Hitler.

[–] emizeko@hexbear.net 28 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (1 children)

did you mean 2028, or is Biden mecha Hitler

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 31 points 8 months ago (1 children)

See, it's so much of a repeat of 2020 that they even set the calendar back.

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 27 points 8 months ago (1 children)

If he wins the American left will be dead for an entire generation, you can't normalize genocide in a country and then try to build any kind of genuine movement out of that posionus soil, Bidens regime has had an absolute accelerationist effect on American politics/fascism

Which is why I think he'll win, Biden is the more competent fascist and plenty of elites realize that

[–] Great_Leader_Is_Dead@hexbear.net 9 points 8 months ago (1 children)

If he wins the American left will be dead for an entire generation

We weren't exactly kicking ass under Trump either.

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 14 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I disagree, remember the liberal panic when Bernie's sorry ass won Nevada, ever since Trump came down that elevator there was a real momentum building up before Biden and covid obliterated it

We made Obama pick up the phone and forced every DNC candidate pretend to support universal healthcare

Of course now it's obvious the last hurrah was the rebellions during the summer of 2020 and today we'd be lucky to get a "left" that opposes genocide and child cages at the border

[–] Great_Leader_Is_Dead@hexbear.net 8 points 8 months ago

Trump scared a bunch of left curious Libs into being turbo DNC Stans. Vaushism and adjacent forms of Succism burst in popularity under Trump. Obama being a letdown was probably more radicalizing than Trump, Trump was seen as an aberration that made the neoliberal establishment seem better by comparison.

Bipartisan concentration camps

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 4 points 8 months ago

Already there

[–] blobjim@hexbear.net 24 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Maybe don't spend so much time thinking about how liberals will react to stuff. It's like half the posts on this website. Liberals and conservatives living rent-free in the heads of internet leftists.

[–] JohnBrownNote@hexbear.net 11 points 8 months ago

most of us have to interact with those people daily

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 7 points 8 months ago

:yea: were all terminally online and it's good to be aware of that. Well smugpost about liberals doing shit we do too

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 23 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (1 children)

They'd turn around and say "see we told you we never needed you tankies, its hard to understand why you even made such a fuss about not voting for Biden. We never cared because we know we didnt need you, and now you won't even be heard. #BombPalestine #TankiesOwned"

If they win they never needed us and never pretended to. If they lose it's our fault.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 17 points 8 months ago

The year is 2028, the democratic party moves so far to the right to "appeal to the working class" that they absorb some former Trump campaign employeees. They're having Kamala Harris run for president. You now have to see the NAFO shiba paraded around like pepe was in 2016. In the spirit of "bipartisanship" Donald Trump is her running mate.

This election is now about whether to actually do a turner diaries like genocide, or "peacefully" mass deport anyone who's "undesirable".

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 22 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I am from the future

Here is a pic of a lib after Biden wins

smuglord

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 8 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

I'm from an alternative future.

Here's a picture of a lib explaining to us they told us it would be our fault when Biden lost

same-picture

[–] harsh3466@lemmy.ml 21 points 8 months ago (1 children)

It’ll be relief that fascists didn’t take over followed by depression over the fact that the best the democrats came up with was more Biden.

[–] Doubledee@hexbear.net 31 points 8 months ago

I dunno, to see the threads on .world or reddit you get the impression they've decided Joe is really really good actually, I think they could be totally fine with it if they get more dug in between now and then.

[–] CarbonScored@hexbear.net 20 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

This post confuses me. What will happen? Exactly the same that happens every election cycle - nothing fundamentally new or interesting.

I hope you're not labouring under the liberal version of events that THIS IS THE ELECTION THAT REAAAALLLY MATTERS because that happens every election cycle, every single time.

[–] Cherufe@hexbear.net 18 points 8 months ago

Same party as last time but with a defeated energy

[–] Great_Leader_Is_Dead@hexbear.net 16 points 8 months ago (1 children)

They'd immediately start worrying about Trump 2028.

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 6 points 8 months ago (1 children)

"It's the most important election in the history of everything"

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 4 points 8 months ago

Which is why you have to vote for the Romney/Cheyney ticket. You may not agree with them on everything but at least we can agree on the most important topic, beating Trump so we still have a democracy.

[–] SoloboiNanook@hexbear.net 15 points 8 months ago

Not much tbh. Do the same thing they do everything they win an election. Declare racism defeated or whatever and then all but the biggest DNC freaks forget politics ever existed until the next election.

[–] FumpyAer@hexbear.net 12 points 8 months ago

Couldn't care less but yes they'll party in the streets just like 2019

[–] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 11 points 8 months ago

If Biden wins what kind of two term available Trump is going to roll 2028-2036?

[–] frauddogg@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 8 months ago

If the past three and a half years have taught me anything about the New Coastal Democrat, it's that they'll go back to brunch while Biden continues to let the Republicans lay planks under his feet. Like, outright getting out of the way of the construction crews while they do it. We'll probably lose Plessy v. Ferguson, Brown v. Board, and Loving v. Virginia under Biden II.

[–] bigboopballs@hexbear.net 9 points 8 months ago

nah, Trump winning will be x100 more entertaining

[–] InappropriateEmote@hexbear.net 9 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I'm kind of hoping for Trump to win just to see what crazy bullshit it does to libs brains, personally.

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 7 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Racism, it would just be extreme unmasked racism.....directed mainly at Arabs, hispanics and black people for some inexplicable reason

[–] frauddogg@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

black people for some inexplicable reason

Oh, every 4 years, we gotta hear about how "Black men are deserting the Democrat party for x, y, or z 'deplorable' candidate"; I can see how the one moment they feel like they ACTUALLY don't need us is the moment the hard-r comes back into vogue for these crackers. They do the same thing to the Roma, to Ansar Allah, to pretty much every minority with a westernized slur that they aren't in immediate proximity to already.

[–] idkmybffjoeysteel@hexbear.net 8 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Can you imagine an Altered Carbon type future where the only options are Biden and Trump forever

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 2 points 8 months ago

Yes. Yes I can. : (

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 4 points 8 months ago

They would have a week long party that all the problems in America are solved.

And anybody who disagrees will go back to being a Chinese or Russian nationalist instead of just a republican so I guess we have that promotion to look forward to.
